Building Stronger Skills Every Day with Boys Town Social Skills
At Westmont, we know that academic learning is just one piece of the puzzle. Just as important are the social and emotional skills that help our students grow into respectful, responsible, and confident individuals.
That’s why each day, our school counselor, Ms. Susman, teaches a different Boys Town Social Skill—proven strategies that help students navigate friendships, problem-solving, communication, and more. These daily lessons are simple, practical, and powerful tools for success both in and out of the classroom.
To help strengthen these skills beyond the school day, we also include them in our weekly newsletter. We encourage families to review and practice them at home, reinforcing what students are learning at school and showing how these skills apply in everyday life.
Together, we can help students build the foundation they need to thrive—socially, emotionally, and academically!
